MULTISTATE ENHANCES LOBBYING COMPLIANCE & STRATEGIC GOVERNMENT RELATIONS SOLUTIONS
ALEXANDRIA, Va. - MultiState announced today that Beaumont Covert has joined the state and local government relations firm in an enhancement of MultiState’s lobbying compliance and strategic government relations solutions. Beaumont will join MultiState as senior counsel.
“We are pleased to welcome Beaumont to MultiState,” said Joe Crosby, chairman and chief executive officer. “Beaumont’s background and experience are a perfect complement to the continued expansion of our state and local government relations solutions, ensuring we are able to provide our clients with the extraordinary service they have come to expect from us.”
Addition Reflects Changes to State Government Relations in Wake of Pandemic
The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the state government affairs profession, requiring new ways of engaging policymakers and advancing objectives. Careful compliance with applicable lobbying and ethics laws have been embedded in MultiState’s culture since its founding in 1984. The addition of Beaumont Covert reflects the continuing commitment to provide clients with innovative state and local government affairs strategies and solutions with political law compliance built-in from the outset.
“Too many organizations fail to plan for political compliance when developing state advocacy campaigns,” said Covert. “As a result, they risk not only fines for noncompliance, but more importantly, they risk professional and organizational reputations. I’m excited to join a company that not only implements successful government affairs strategies but also provides a complete compliance solution.”
