In addition to legislative and executive actions by state lawmakers to combat and alleviate the impending suspension of SNAP benefits for over 40 million people beginning November 1, Democratic state Attorneys General and Governors, representing two dozen states and DC, filed a lawsuit against the US Department of Agriculture (USDA), its Secretary Brooke Rollins, the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), its Director Russell Vought, and the United States on October 28 for unlawfully halting November SNAP benefits.

This resource tracks state actions for SNAP funding during the shutdown. We will be updating the document as states take additional action.
