Amber Thyson

Amber Thyson is MultiState’s Director, Health Policy, and has been with the company since 2005. Amber serves as part of the Strategic Government Relations team where she is responsible for coordinating lobbyists and analyzing policy trends for the firm’s diverse health care clients. As part of the Issues Management Team, she is also responsible for identifying and interpreting legislation of interest. In 2020, after hearing the needs of her clients, Amber was instrumental in creating MultiState’s COVID-19 State and Local Policy Tracker, a resource library and data dashboard providing clients and the public with timely, accurate information on the state and local government responses to the COVID-19. Amber has more than 20 years of experience in government relations, which includes serving as a government relations associate for the Consumer Healthcare Products Association, where she focused on federal lobbying, state monitoring, and PAC management. Amber holds a Bachelor of Science degree in political science, and a graduate certificate in PACs and political management from The George Washington University.
