Hilary Smith

Hilary Smith joined MultiState in 2024 and serves as Senior Compliance Associate and Counsel. She previously handled compliance for a nonprofit organization, and built out lobbying and campaign finance compliance functions as work expanded at the state level. She has over a decade of litigation experience, including five years in-house at a major insurance carrier, and has served as finance staff on congressional campaigns. Hilary earned her J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law and is a member of the Council on Governmental Ethics Laws.
