Karen Kulivan

Karen Kulivan joined MultiState in 2022 and currently serves as Senior Manager, Compliance & PAC Services. As part of the compliance team, Karen is responsible for helping clients remain in compliance with federal, state, and local lobbying and campaign finance regulations. Karen brings over a decade of experience in the nonprofit sector, having previously managed federal and state lobbying and campaign finance compliance for one of the nation’s largest nonprofit interest groups. In this role, she developed deep expertise in the role of federal PACs at the state level and has unique experience with both independent expenditure and ballot initiative reporting and compliance. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Thiel College in Greenville, Pennsylvania and has completed graduate work in public policy. She is currently working towards obtaining CPA credentials. A native of Pittsburgh, Karen now resides in Virginia’s beautiful Piedmont region. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, baking, reading, and spending time with her husband, three children, and dog.
