States and Localities Move to Block Campaign Finance Contributions from Foreign-Influenced Corporations

While a new month always means upcoming state and local lobbying compliance deadlines, the new year is especially important because the majority of states and many municipalities also had registrations that expired on December 31st.
Lobbying Compliance Deadlines in January 2023
In January, 42 states plus DC and 28 localities have periodic disclosure requirements due. In other words, if you were registered in one of these jurisdictions in 2022 and are required to file disclosure reports, you must do so in January. The map below shows the states with these requirements in December.
The following localities also have disclosure reports due in January.
